Denver Nuggets Send The Lakers Home Down 0-2

The Los Angeles Lakers had a lot on their minds when they boarded the two and a half hour flight from Denver to Los Angeles last night. The Lakers haven't gotten past the Nuggets in over two years. To say the Nuggets have the Lakers number is the understatement of the year. The Lakers blew a 20 point lead capped by a 15 foot buzzer beater from Jamal Murray that was very "Kobe-esque."

The Lakers get another chance Thursday night but a lot needs to change and it needs to change quick. Anthony Davis played well scoring 32 points while grabbing 11 rebounds, LeBron had 26 points and 12 rebounds and D'Angelo Russell showed up and dropped 23 points on seven 3 pointers. Other than those 3, nobody else showed up. All other Lakers players combined for 18 points. That's not going to cut it.

The Nuggets had a much more balanced attack with five players in double figures lead by MVP candidate Nikola Jokic with 27 points and 20 rebounds.

LeBron James has lost 10 straight to the Nuggets which is the longest of his career, the Nuggets spoiled Kobe's statue unveiling back in February and then again when LeBron reached 40K points in his career. If the Lakers stand any type of chance they need to win at least 2 games in LA.
