Vincent Desharnais was born May 29, 1996, in Laval, Quebec. He is a defenseman in the NHL.

After playing three seasons of minor pro with the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL and the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League (AHL), Desharnais was signed in March 2022 by the Oilers to a two year, entry-level contract.

During the 2022–23 season, Desharnais was recalled by the Oilers and played his first NHL game on January 11, 2023, a 6-2 victory against the Anaheim Ducks.
