Nicolas Roy was born February 5, 1997 in Amos, Quebec, Canada. He is a centre in the National Hockey League.

Roy was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes, 96th overall, in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. On June 26, 2019, Roy was traded by the Hurricanes to the Vegas Golden Knights. Roy helped Vegas win their first NHL Stanley Cup on June 13, 2023.
