Matt Grzelcyk was born on January 5th, 1994 in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a defenseman in the National Hockey League.

Grzelcyk was selected by the Bruins with the 85th overall pick in the 3rd round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and on April 1, 2016, he signed a two-year entry-level deal with the Boston Bruins. He made his NHL debut with the Bruins on December 14, 2016 and on November 22, 2017, Grzelcyk got his first NHL assist. On November 24, 2017, Grzelcyk scored his first NHL goal and the summer before the 2018–19 season, Grzelcyk signed a two year contract to stay with the Bruins and qualified for the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals.
