Mason Shaw was born November 3, 1998 in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada. He is a center in the National Hockey League.

Shaw was selected 97th overall by the Wild in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and signed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Wild on April 27, 2018. Entering his fourth season in the AHL with the Iowa Wild in 2021–22 campaign, Shaw tallied 14 points through 18 games before receiving his first recall to the NHL on December 6, 2021. He made his NHL debut with the Wild, featuring on the fourth-line in a 5-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks on December 9, 2021. On October 30, 2022, he scored his first NHL goal against the Chicago Blackhawks.
