Jonathan Marchessault was born December 27, 1990 in Cap-Rouge, Quebec, Canada. He is a centre in the National Hockey League.

After being selected by the Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft, Marchessaultse helped Vegas become the first expansion team to reach the Stanley Cup Finals in their inaugural season. Marchessault signed a six-year, $30 million contract extension with Vegas during the 2018-2019 season. Marchessault played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Florida Panthers before joining the Vegas Golden Knights.

Marchessault scored his first career playoff hat trick for the Golden Knights against the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday, June 6, 2021 in Game 4 of their second round Stanley Cup Playoffs matchup, helping Vegas to tie the series at 2-2. Marchessault won the 2023 Stanley Cup with the Vegas Golden Knights. He was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Most Valuable Player of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs, after helping his team to their first championship.
