Charlie Coyle was born on March 2nd, 1992 in Weymouth, Massachusetts. He is a centre in the National Hockey League.

Coyle was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the first round, 28th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. In 2011, he was traded to the Minnesota Wild, with whom he played the first six years of his professional career before he was traded to the Bruins in 2019. On April 6, 2021, Coyle signed a six year, $31.5 million contract extension with the Bruins.
