BIOGRAPHY
Tyler Coatney Lancaster was born November 4, 1994 in Naperville, Illinois. He is a Defensive End for the Green Bay Packers in the NFL.
Tyler Lancaster finished his senior campaign as a team captain, starting all 13 games at defensive tackle en route to an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection for a Northwestern defense that ranked No. 9 in the NCAA in rushing defense. He notched 40 tackles (14 solo), 9½ tackles for a loss and two sacks, all career highs. He had a season-high five tackles (three solo) with a tackle for a loss and two QB pressures at Duke (Sept. 9). The following week vs. Bowling Green (Sept. 16), he recorded his first sack of the season to go along with four tackles (two solo). He matched a season high with five tackles, including 1½ tackles for a loss, at Nebraska (Nov. 4). He had three tackles (all assisted) and a half-sack each vs. Minnesota (Nov. 18) and at Illinois (Nov. 25). He started all 13 games at DT as a junior in 2016, compiling 28 tackles (14 solo), 3½ tackles for a loss and a fumble recovery. Tyler was named the Wildcats Defensive Player of the Week in the conference opener vs. Nebraska (Sept. 24) after racking up six tackles (three solo) and a half-tackle for a loss. He recorded five tackles (two solo) at Ohio State. Tyler earned his degree in economics.
He was a three-year letterwinner at Plainfield East High School, playing center and guard in addition to defensive tackle. He was a first-team all-state selection by the Chicago Tribune. Lancaster did not allow a sack as an offensive lineman in his three seasons. He also lettered one year in baseball.
Lancaster signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent on April 28, 2018. Lancaster re-signed with the Packers on March 30, 2021.
