BIOGRAPHY
Tuzar Skipper was born on June 5th, 1995, in Norwich, Connecticut, and currently plays linebacker in the NFL. Skipper attended Norwich Free Academy and played college football at the University of Toledo.
During high school, Skipper played key role in helping the team qualify for CIAC Class LL playoffs in junior and senior seasons, including berth in the 2012 championship game.
Skipper played for the University of Toledo football team from 2016 to 2018. In 2016 Skipper appeared in all 13 games. He recorded 22 tackles, 1.0 TFL, two quarterback hurries and one blocked kick. He tallied season-high six tackles against Northern Illinois. In 2017 played in three games, starting in two. He had eight tackles and one sack. In 2018 Skipper tied for third on the team with 60 tackles. He led the team and was fifth in MAC with 8.5 sacks, second on the team with 11.5 TFL. Had his career-best eight tackles vs. Miami, two sacks and 2.5 TFL vs. EMU, four tackles, 1.5 sacks at WMU. He recovered a fumble in the end zone for a TD against Ball State, and five tackles, 2.5 TFL and a career-best two sacks vs. CMU.
Skipper was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2019. After making the Steelers initial 53-man roster, Skipper was waived prior to Week 1 on September 7, 2019.
Tuzar Skipper has played for multiple teams throughout his NFL journey and is currently playing for the New York Giants in the NFL. On September 9, 2019, Skipper was claimed off waivers by the New York Giants. He now plays for the Tennessee Titans.
