BIOGRAPHY
Troy Fumagalli was born on February 17th, 1995, in Aurora, Illinois. He is a tight end in the NFL.
Fumagalli attended Waubonsie Valley High School, where he was named a four-time academic all-conference honoree, played tight end and linebacker, and finished his prep career with 172 tackles, four sacks and six passes defended.
He played college football for the Badgers at the University of Wisconsin; in 2013 he was redshirted as a true freshman. As a freshman in 2014, he played in all 14 games with two starts at tight end, totaling 14 catches for 187 yards.
During his sophomore year in 2015 he played in 11 games with four starts, he had 28 catches for 313 yards with one touchdown and earned a scholarship before the beginning of the season; he caught six passes for 60 yards and scored his first career touchdown at Nebraska.
As a junior he started all 14 games, recording 47 catches for 580 yards with two touchdowns. He registered his first-career 100-yard game at Lambeau Field in the College Classic vs. LSU, caught six passes for 83 yards, and recorded a vital fourth-quarter touchdown in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic vs. Western Michigan.
In 2017 as a senior Fumagalli was chosen as a finalist for the John Mackey Award after recording 46 catches for 547 yards with four touchdowns; he caught five passes for career-high 105 yards with one touchdown vs. Utah State. Fumagalli hauled in five passes for 45 yards vs. Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game.
The Denver Broncos drafted Fumagalli in the fifth round 156th overall of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was placed on injured reserve on September 1, 2018, and miss his entire rookie season with Denver on injured reserve.
