BIOGRAPHY
Trent Sieg was born on May 19th, 1995 in Greely, Colorado. He is a long snapper in the NFL.
His parents are Tim and Terie Sieg. Has an older brother Tyler, who played basketball at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado. Also has a sister, Tarynn. Sieg attended Eaton High School in Eaton Colorado. During his high school years he lettered in football, baseball and basketball. Sieg became the Captain of the football team as a senior.
In 2012 in his senior year, helped the Reds to a 10-1 record and a Patriot League championship. Also, in 2012, Sieg earned All-Colorado and all-conference honors for his performance at linebacker, racking up 67 tackles and 10 sacks. Hauled in 29 receptions for 510 yards and four touchdowns as a senior tight end. In a 55-14 thrashing of Valley High School, had a career-high six receptions for 168 yards and two touchdowns. In the classroom, earned academic All-Colorado honors in 2011 and 2012. Sieg graduated from Eaton High School in 2013.
During his time at Colorado State University, he got redshirted during his first collegiate season. In 2014, he played in all 13 games as long snapper, replacing four-year snapper Tanner Hedstrom and recorded two tackles. His first career stop came on the road at Boise State. As a sophomore, Snapped to Ray Guy Award finalist and All-America punter Hayden Hunt, who ranked fifth nationally with 46.0 yards per punt. CSU's net punting average of 41.96 ranked fourth in FBS. Sieg earned 2015 Academic All-Mountain West honors.
In 2016, in his Junior year, he played in all 13 games as long snapper, snapping to first-team All-Mountain West punter Hayden Hunt. Earned Academic All-MW honors. In 2017, as a senior he earned Academic All-Mountain West honors. In 2018, Sieg signed with the Baltimre Ravens as an undrafted free agent, but was released befre the start of the season. On September 2018, Sieg was signed to the Oakland Raiders, to replace injured long snapper Andrew DePaola.
