BIOGRAPHY
Tremon Smith was born on July 20, 1996, in Anniston, Alabama. He is a running back in the National Football League.
Smith attended Saks High School and played college football at the University of Central Arkansas. During high school, Smith was player of the Year District 8. He was named Alabama 3A Player of the Year at quarterback and two-time state Player of the Week. He had 70 tackles, four forced fumbles, four interceptions in 2013. During his freshman season in 2014, Smith appeared in all 12 games as a true freshman. He had 19 total tackles, including 16 solos. Smith had 1.0 tackle for loss (-5 yards) and had team-high three interceptions and broke up four passes.
In 2015 during his sophomore season, Smith appeared in all 11 games as starting cornerback. He was fourth-leading tackler with 51 total stops, including 42 solos. He tied for the team lead with five interceptions (43 yards). In 2016 during his junior season, Smith appeared in all 13 games as starting cornerback. He tied for eighth on the team with 35 tackles, including 28 solos. He was ranked second on the side and third in the Southland Conference with 11 passes broken up and ranked third on the team and tied for ninth in the SLC with two interceptions (32 yards). In 2017, Smith had 41 tackles and five interceptions, when he was a third-team FCS All-America selection. In his four years at Central Arkansas, Smith had 15 interceptions. The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Smith in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. On the season, he had 33 returns for 886 net yards for a 26.85 average. He was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team. For the 2019 season, Smith was moved from cornerback to running back. In 2021, he signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans.
Smith joined the Denver Broncos in 2023.
