Travon Walker was born December 18, 2000 in Thomaston, Georgia. He attended Upson-Lee High School in Thomaston, Georgia. He was selected to the 2019 All-American Bowl. He committed to the University of Georgia to play college football. As a true freshman at Georgia in 2019, Walker played in 12 games and had 15 tackles 2.5 sacks. As a sophomore in 2020, he played in nine games with 13 tackles, one sack and one interception. Walker became a starter at defensive tackle his junior year in 2021.

In the 2022 NFL Draft Travon Walker was selected as the #1 overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
