BIOGRAPHY
Storm Norton was born on May 16th, 1994, in Toledo, Ohio. He plays offensive tackle in the National Football League.
Norton attended Whitmer High School and played college football at the University of Toledo. During high school, Norton had first-team all-state, all-district and all-conference honors as a senior. As a junior, received second-team all-district and all-conference recognition. Norton played for the University of Minnesota football team from 2012 to 2016. In 2013, Norton saw action in seven games as a reserve offensive lineman. In 2014, Norton played in all 13 games, starting three. He moved into starting slot at left tackle for the final three games of the season. He was key reserve on the offensive line that powers Rocket offense that ranks No. 1 in MAC in total offense (486.3) and in rushing offense (247.3) and tied for No. 3 in sacks allowed (16). In 2015, Norton was named first-team All-MAC at left tackle, named to the AP All-Bowl Team He was the leader of an offensive line that allowed just five sacks in 411 passing attempts, the second-lowest total in the country. The Rocket offense led MAC in rushing (207.9 yards/game), ranked third in scoring offense (35.0) and total offense (460.9). In 2016, Norton was listed as No. 1 at the left tackle in the preseason depth chart.
Norton signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2017.
On November 6, 2017, Norton was signed to the Arizona Cardinals practice squad.
On December 12, 2017, Norton was signed to the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Vikings on January 2, 2019.
Storm Norton has played for multiple teams throughout his NFL journey and is currently playing for the Los Angeles Wildcats in the XFL. Norton was selected first overall in the second phase by the Los Angeles Wildcats in the 2020 XFL Draft. He now plays with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Norton joined the New Orleans Saints in 2023.
