BIOGRAPHY

Solomon Thomas was born August 26, 1995, in Chicago, Illinois. He is a defensive end in the National Hockey League.

He is a major force both on and off the field — his story is anything but ordinary. Born in Chicago, IL – Solomon spent 5 years in Australia before moving to the states where he was rated as a 4-star high school athlete and later recruited by Stanford University. Following the 2016 season, Solomon declared his intentions to enter the 2017 NFL Draft and went in the 1st round of 2017 NFL Draft to the San Francisco 49ers and his time would not be wasted as Solomon played in 14 games, started in 12 recording 41 tackles and three sacks. Solomon is a huge advocate for mental health as his sister passed away by suicide which became one of the most impactful moments of his life. He turned his family tragedy into something more meaningful and speaks openly about the loss and walks each year to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. With just three seasons under his belt, it’s clear that Solomon’s impact on and off the field will be felt for many years to come.

He was signed by the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency very recently. In March of 2022, he signed with the New York Jets.
