BIOGRAPHY
Sheldrick Redwine was born on November 6th, 1996, in Miami, Florida. He is a safety for the Cleveland Browns in the NFL.
Prior to his college career, Redwine attended Miami Killian Senior High School, Redwine was rated as the No. 43 cornerback nationally and No. 56 player in the state of Florida by 247Sports.com. He totaled 33 tackles, seven interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, during senior season. He played college football at the University of Miami.
During his freshman season in 2015, Redwine had 14 total tackles (nine solo). He made career debut in season opener vs. Bethune-Cookman (Sept. 5) and recorded the first two tackles of career at FAU (Sept. 11).
In 2016 during his sophomore season, Redwine played in 12 games and made five starts. He totaled 28 tackles (18 solo). He forced one fumble and had two pass breakups. Redwine made his first career start against FAU (Sept. 10), recording one tackle and one PBU and made his second start of career against Appalachian State (Sept. 17) and totaled three tackles (two solo).
As a junior in 2017, Redwine started 12 of 13 games, missing one game due to injury. He finished with 59 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss. He added six pass breakups and two interceptions and totaled 62 interception return yards. During his senior season in 2018, He earned All-ACC Honorable Mention recognition. Redwine had 64 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, three interceptions, one fumble recovery, and one forced fumble. He was ranked fifth in total tackles.
The Cleveland Browns drafted Redwine in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed his rookie contract with the Browns on May 2, 2019.
