Seth DeValve was born on January 29, 1993, in Manchester, Connecticut. He is a tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL.

DeValve attended Manchester High School and was an All-state and two-time all-conference honoree as a quarterback, earning all-state recognition as a senior. Also, an all-conference selection at safety who threw for 4,650 career yards and 37 TDs, and added 2,000 rushing yards and 24 TDs on offense and nine INTs on defense. DeValve was a two-time all-conference selection for the track, running the 100-meter and the 400-meter and participating in the high jump and shot put.

In college, he played 30 career games at Princeton. DeValve caught 122 passes for 1,336 yards and seven TDs. He spent time playing wide receiver and tight end and ranked 10th in school history in career receptions. In 2015, DeValve earned Princeton's Rogerson Award for spirit and inspiration, after playing in six games and finishing with 33 catches for 337 yards and a touchdown.

In the 2016 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns selected DeValve in the fourth round. He is the highest-drafted Princeton football player in the modern draft era. On May 31, he signed a four-year contract, worth about $2.5 million, which included a signing bonus worth about $383,000. DeValve scored his first career touchdown on November 10 in a Thursday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens on a 25-yard pass from Cody Kessler.

On November 25, 2020, DeValve signed with the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals.
