BIOGRAPHY
Ryan Nall was born on December 27, 1995, in Clackamas, Oregon. He is a running back for the Chicago Bears in the NFL.
He attended central catholic High School; as a junior, he was named Mt. Hood Conference Second Team selection at running back. During his senior year, he rushed for 1,684 yards and 22 touchdowns; he was named First-team all-state running back and linebacker, 6A Offensive Player of the Year, the Oregon Sports Awards Prep Football Player of the Year and Prep Star All-West Region.
He led the Rams to their first state title in 60 years, rushing for 196 yards and three touchdowns and adding four tackles and an interception in the championship game; also played basketball for the CCHS.
Nall played college football for the Beavers at Oregon State University; in 2014 as a freshman, he was redshirt and spent the early portion of the season on the ‘ready to play’ list. As a Redshirt freshman in 2015, he finished the season with 455 rushing yards, third on the team and added seven receptions for 109 yards.
He was named Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention and was one One of three recipients of the Play It Forward Award for December, which goes to individuals and organizations that help motivate kids to be physically active.
During his sophomore season in 2016 Nall was named the starting running back following spring practice and started in all ten games in wish he played; he finished the season with 951 rushing yards. He tied the school record with four rushing touchdowns that had not been achieved since 2009.
He recorded a career-long 89-yard touchdown carry against the Cougars, the 3rd longest in OSU history; he earned Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention and Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention.
In 2017 as a junior he played in 11 games and started in 9 of them; he carried the ball 165 times for 810 yards, an average of 4.9 yards per rush. He scored eight rushing touchdowns, finished with three games of 100 or more yards, caught 27 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns.
He earned CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 and Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team. He ranks eighth in Oregon State history with 2,216 rushing yards, and after the season, he declared for the 2018 NFL Draft.
Nall signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2018, and spent the 2018 season on Bears practice squad; he signed a reserve/future contract with the Bears on January 8, 2019. On September 1, 2019, he was signed to the Bears' practice squad.
