Rodney Clemons was born in Katy, Texas. He is a safety in the NFL.

Clemons went to Katy Taylor for high school. As a two star recruit, he had 115 tackles and 5 interceptions during his senior season. He was named first-team All-District and second-team All-State.

Rodney went to Southern Methodist University for college. As a red-shirt freshman, Clemons started in all 12 games. He went on to start the rest of the games during his college career. As a senior, SMU football took a big leap with Rodney being a crucial part to the defense. He was All-ACC 2nd team that season. He went undrafted in the 2020 NFL draft when the Chiefs picked him up.
