BIOGRAPHY
Reggie Gilbert was born on April 1st, 1993 in Laveen, Arizona. He is a linebacker for the Tennessee Titans in the NFL.
Reggie Gilbert attended Farifax High School where he played for the football team. He was a member of the PrepStar All-West Region team. He recorded 58 tackles, 13 sacks, and two caused fumbles as a junior. He played defensive end and tight end for the team.
Gilbert played college football for the University of Arizona. In 2012, Gilbert played in eleven games and started eight games at defensive tackle. He was a Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention. Gilbert recorded 19 tackles (11 solo, eight assisted) and recovered two fumbles. He had 6.0 tackles for a loss of 32 yards and 3.5 sacks for 29 yards. In 2013, Gilbert started and played in all 13 games at defensive tackle. He was a Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention and logged 34 tackles, including 15 solo stops. Gilbert recorded 7.0 tackles for a loss of 29 yards and 4.0 sacks for a loss of 21 yards. Gilbert forced a fumble in the 38-13 win over UTSA. In 2014, Gilbert started 13 and played 14 games with the defensive line, primarily at defensive end. He totaled 49 tackles, including 31 solo stops, with 5.5 tackles for a loss of 15 yards. He recorded 3.0 sacks for 10 yards lost, one pass broken up and one forced fumble. Gilbert was one of four senior team captains during the 2015 seasons. Gilbert was a Pac-12 All-Conference honorable mention selection. Four times Gilbert was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Week as voted on by coaches. He led the team with 8.5 tackles for loss and with 3.5 sacks. Gilbert finished the season strong with 5.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks over final three games of career, which included a win over No. 10 Utah and a Gildan New Mexico Bowl victory. He had a season-high six tackles at USC.
Gilbert was initially signed by the Green Bay Packers on May 6, 2016. He was on the Packers’ practice squad for his entire rookie season in 2016 and the first 15 weeks of the 2017 season before being elevated to the active roster on Dec. 22.
