BIOGRAPHY
Patrick Ricard was born on May 27th, 1994, in Spencer, Massachusetts. He is a fullback in the National Football League.
In his early years, Ricard attended Davis Prouty High School where he led the team to a Super Bowl Championship in 2009 and runner-up honors in 2010. His team also won a pair of League Championships and he was named Central Mass. He was also an All-Division II, was a two-time Division II Defensive MVP, and was a National Honor Society member.
After he finished high school, Ricard committed to the University of Maine where he saw action until he was a sophomore in 2013, where he played in all 13 games, ranking fourth on the team with 59 tackles. He also tallied 6.0 tackles for loss, including one sack, to go along with a fumble recovery and a pair of pass deflections and averaged 4.5 tackles which ranked seventh among CAA linemen. In his collegiate debut at Norfolk State on August 31st, he had one tackle, while on August 10th against Delaware, he made a pair of tackles, including his first career sack. As a junior in 2014, Ricard appeared in 10 games with nine starts, finishing the season with 46 tackles, including a team-high matching 9.5 for loss, adding 4.5 sacks, six pass breakups, and blocked a kick. He ranked seventh among CAA linemen in tackles per game with 4.5. In his senior year in 2015, Ricard was named to the CAA All-Conference First Team and was an ECAC Division I Football Football Championship Subdivision All-Star second-team selection. He started all 10 games he played and led the CAA in tackles-for-loss with 16.5. He ranked sixth in the league in sacks with 7.0 and second with three forced fumbles and added 53 tackles with a pair of pass breakups. Ricard made a career-high nine tackles against Yale with 2.0 TFLs, a sack, and a pair of forced fumbles recorded eight stops with a sack against Rhode Island and made seven tackles, 2.0 for loss, with a sack against Elon. In 2016, Ricard was a STATS LLC Preseason All-America Third Team selection and a CAA Preseason All-Conference selection.
After he graduated from college, Ricard entered the 2017 NFL Draft where he was signed by the Baltimore Ravens on May 5th, 2017, as an undrafted free agent. During the offseason, he spent time practicing on both offense and defense with the Ravens, while during the preseason, he played defensive end and fullback. He made the 53-man roster as the only fullback on the team. In Week 8 against the Miami Dolphins, he recorded a one-yard reception for the first catch of his NFL career and in Week 13 against the Detroit Lions, he recorded a three-yard reception for his first professional touchdown.
In 2019 he signed a three-year extension with the Baltimore Ravens. In 2023 Patrick Ricard was selected for his 4th Pro Bowl.
