Olasunkanmi Adeniyi was born on September 12th, 1997, in Houston, Texas. He is an outside linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL.

Olasunkanmi Adeniyi graduated from George Bush High School in Fort Bend County, Texas. As a senior, he recorded 76 tackles (18 for loss) and five sacks. He signed to play football for the Toledo Rockets in February 2014.

Adeniyi started 12 games at “Leo” defensive end his junior year. He registered 49 tackles, second-most among team’s down linemen. Adeniyi tied for third on team with 8.0 TFL and third with 4.0 sacks. In the season opener at Arkansas State, Adeniyi had a career-high eight tackles, 3.0 TFL and one sack. He recorded sacks against Arkansas State, Bowling Green, Ohio and Appalachian State.

Adeniyi was named second-team All-MAC in 2017. He finished the year with 66 tackles, which tied for fourth on the team. He led the team and finished third in the MAC with 20.0 tackles for loss. He recorded a team-high 8.5 sacks, which was fifth in the MAC. He led the team in tackles in three games and had at least one TFL in all but one game. Adeniyi had five tackles with one TFL vs. Elon and five tackles with one TFL at Nevada. Adeniyi had six tackles, three TFL, two sacks, and a forced fumble in the MAC Championship Game against Akron. He had three tackles and 0.5 TFL in the Dollar General Bowl against Appalachian State.

Adeniyi signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on April 28, 2018.
