Natrell Jamerson was born December 15, 1995, in Ocala, Florida. He is a safety in the NFL.
Natrell Jamerson finished his Vangaurd High School football career with 119 catches for 2,096 yards and 42 touchdowns. He was a first-team Class 6A all-state selection by Associated Press as a senior after posting 68 receptions for 1,195 yards and 17 touchdowns, along with two kickoff returns for touchdown. Jamerson was named District 7 MVP by Florida Athletic Coaches Association. He was a two-time all-district and all-county pick as a senior and junior. As a junior, he caught 33 passes for 643 yards and seven TDs on way to being named to the All-North Florida first team.
Jamerson played college football at the University of Wisconsin. He earned his first letter, playing in 12 games as a wide receiver his freshman year.
Jamerson earned his second letter, playing in all 13 games as Badgers’ primary kickoff returner his sophomore year. He returned 21 kickoffs for an average of 22.3 yards per runback. Jamerson scored a 98-yard touchdown on kickoff return at Maryland and finished with a career-high 125 yards on three kickoff returns at Maryland. Jamerson finished the season with 14 total tackles, including 0.5 TFL. He logged career-high four tackles at Minnesota.
Jamerson earned his third letter, playing in 8 games with 2 starts as a nickel back his junior year. He earned his first career start against Akron, returning 1 kick for 26 yards, as well as logging 4 tackles and a pass breakup. Jamerson had 3 kick returns for a season-best 62-yards in Big Ten Football Championship Game vs. Penn State, also making 3 solo tackles. He made a career-high 5 tackles, all solo stops, vs. Purdue, returned 3 kicks for 61 yards against the Boilermakers and recorded 2 pass breakups vs. Minnesota.
Jamerson earned his fourth letter, starting all 14 games at safety his senior year. He recorded 51 total tackles, including 32 solo stops and 3.5 TFLs. He logged 10 pass breakups and 2 interceptions, including 1 returned for a touchdown. Jamerson contributed to a unit that ranked No. 2 nationally in total defense (262.1 yards per game), No. 3 in scoring defense (13.9 points per game), No. 3 in rushing defense (98.4 ypg) and No. 1 in pass efficiency defense (96.4). He shared Jimmy Demetral Team MVP award with fellow senior teammates. Jamerson had a career day to open Big Ten play vs. Northwestern, recording 2 interceptions, including 1 returned for a TD, 6 tackles, and 0.5 sack.
Jamerson was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the fifth round (No. 164 overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft out of the University of Wisconsin. He was acquired by the Houston Texans on Sept. 2 and played in 10 games, registering five tackles (all solo), a pass defensed and two special teams tackles (one solo). The Packers acquired Natrell Jamerson on Dec. 5, 2018.
