BIOGRAPHY
Michael Pierce was born on November 6, 1992, in Daphne, Alabama. He is an offensive tackle in the National Football League.
Pierce attended Daphne High School and played college football at the Samford University. During high school, Pierce helped lead the Trojans to a combined 21-8 record, including a 15-0 showing and a state championship as a senior, he was named first-team All-State and All-District while claiming Cellular South 1st & 10 Club Defensive Player of the Year honors as a senior after posting 82 stops and helping spearhead a defense that allowed an average of just 9.5 points per game, also named MVP of the 6A state championship game after recording 10 stops in a 7-6 win over Hoover. Pierce played for the Tulane University football team in 2011. Pierce played in all 13 games as a true freshman, he earned Conference USA All-Freshman Team honors after finishing tied for ninth on the team in pass break-ups (2) while posting 15 tackles (9 solos, 6 assists) and a half tackle for loss. Pierce played for the Samford University football team from 2013 to 2014. In 2013 Pierce played in all 13 games, including 11 starts on the defensive line. He finished with 47 total tackles, including 24 solo stops, had 5.0 tackles for loss, also had one forced fumble and one pass break-up. In 2014 Pierce was named second-team All-SoCon by both the league’s coaches and media, he started all 11 games on the defensive line and finished the season with 35 total tackles, including 26 solo stops, had 5.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack.
On May 3, 2016, Pierce signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. On May 1, 2019, the Baltimore Ravens signed Pierce to a one-year contract.
