Matt Gono was born May 10, 1996, in Liberia. He is an offensive tackle in the NFL.

Gono signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2018. He made the Falcon's initial 53-man roster but did not play in a regular-season game and was inactive for all but the Falcons' final game of the season. The Falcons placed a second-round restricted free agent tender on Gono on March 17, 2021. He signed the one-year contract on March 25.
