Malcolm Brown was born on May 15, 1993, in Biloxi, Mississippi, and currently plays running back for the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL.

During high school, Brown was a member of ESPNU’s top 150 national prospects, ranked as the second-best running back and seventh-best overall prospect by ESPNU. He was ranked as the eighth-best overall prospect by the Sporting News, finished his career with 6,663 rushing yards (third-best in San Antonio history), 86 rushing TDs and 9.8 yards per carrying, Brown helped Steele compile a 44-9 record in three years as a starter.

Brown played for the University of Texas football team from 2011 to 2014. As a freshman Brown Started in seven games and played in 10 contests, he led the team in rushing with 742 yards and five touchdowns on 172 carries. In 2012 played in eight games at running back with one start, second on the team with four rushing touchdowns, and a member of the Maxwell Award watch list. In 2013 Brown played in all 13 games at running back with four starts, was first on the team in rushing yards (904) and all-purpose yards (1,099), and second in all-purpose yards per game (84.5). In 2014 he started all 13 games at running back and led the team with 708 rushing yards and second with six rushing touchdowns.

Malcom Brown signed with the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent. On March 22, 2019, the Los Angeles Rams signed Brown to a two-year contract.

On March 18, 2021, Brown signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins.
