BIOGRAPHY
Logan Edward Cooke was born on July 28, 1995, in Columbia, Mississippi. He is a punter in the National Football League. He played college football at Mississippi State.
He attended Columbia Academy he was one of the top punters in the South, who was selected to play in the 2014 Offense-Defense All-American Bowl. He played for coach Kenny Williams at Columbia Academy and took on wide receiver and defensive back roles in addition to punting duties.
He played college football for the Bulldogs at the Mississippi State University; in 2014 he Played in nine games and saw most of his action on kickoffs and punts. He became the primary kickoff specialist midway through the season; he averaged 61.7 yards per kickoff with 15 touchbacks and punted ten times for an average of 41.4 yards.
In 2015 he served as the No. 1 punter on the squad; he played in all 13 games. He punted 44 times for an average of 42.2 yards with 16 inside the 20-yard line, and 12 of his punts were over 50 yards. In 2016 he was the No. 1 punter on the team for a second consecutive year, playing in 10 games and totaled 44 punts for 1,760 yards (40.0 average) including nine punts of 50+ yards and 22 punts inside the 20-yard line.
In 2017 he was the starting punter for the third consecutive year, playing in all 13 games; he also had his best year as a kickoff specialist. He averaged 42.7 yards per punt, the 10th-best single-season mark in MSU history and also ranked eighth in the SEC in punting and recorded a career-best 13 punts of 50 or more yards.
The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Cooke in the seventh round (247th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft; he made his NFL debut in the Jaguars' season opener against the New York Giants. He finished his rookie season with 86 punts for 3,872 net yards for a 45.02 average.
