L.J. Collier was born on September 12th, 1995 in Seatle, Washington. He is a defensive end in the National Football League.

Collier attended Munday High School where he played football. He was First‐team all‐district as a sophomore, caught 22 passes for 465 yards his junior year, and named District 8‐A Defensive Most Valuable Player as a senior, in addition to being a first‐team selection at tight end. Collier was considered a three‐star recruit and ranked No. 11 in Texas and No. 71 nationally for defensive ends by Scout.com.

Collier attended Texas Christian University for four years from 2015 to 2018. He played in 42 games totaling 82 tackles, including 20.5 for a loss with 14.5 sacks in his TCU career. Collier was a first‐team All‐Big 12 selection by the conference head coaches and Pro Football Focus, who gave him the highest grade among edge rushers in the Big 12 in 2018. He placed second on TCU with his career‐high 6.0 sacks with 11.5 tackles for loss and tied for third on the team with four pass breakups, the most by a TCU defensive lineman.

L.J. Collier was selected in the first round by the Seattle Seahawks with the 29th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Collier joined the Arizona Cardinals in 2023.
