BIOGRAPHY
Laquon Malik Treadwell was born on June 14th, 1995, in Chicago, Illinois. He is a wide receiver in the NFL.
He attended Crete-Monee high school, where he was an Under Armour, USA Today, MaxPreps, and SuperPrep All-America selection. He led Crete-Monee to the Class 6A state title and hauled in 81 catches for 1,424 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for 257 yards and seven more TDs on the ground; also added 56 tackles and six interceptions on defense.
He played college football at Ole Miss; as a freshman in 2013, he started 12 games as a slot receiver, and he established the record for catches (72), receiving yards (608) and touchdown catches (5) in a season. He was named SEC Freshman of the Year by the league coaches and became the first player in school history to receive that distinction. He was also first-team Freshman All-America (Athlon, Sporting News, 247Sports.com) and second-team Freshman All-America (College Football News).
As a sophomore in 2014, he played nine games and started eight of those as a wide receiver. He recorded 48 receptions, 632 receiving yards, and 5 TDs; he was All-SEC second team. In 2015 as a junior, he topped all SEC players with 1,153 receiving yards and 11 TD catches and was second with 82 catches. He played every game and started 11 of those.
On January 4th, 2016, Treadwell announced he would forego his final year of eligibility at Ole Miss to enter the 2016 NFL Draft. Treadwell was drafted as the 23rd overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft.; during his rookie season, he appeared in 9 games and recorded his 1st career reception for 15 yards vs. Detroit.
In 2017 he played in all 16 games and started 7; he recorded 20 catches for 200 yards. During the 2018 season, he played in 15 games and started 7 of them. He recorded 35 receptions for 302 yards and 1 TD on the season; all of them were career highs.
Treadwell joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2023.
