BIOGRAPHY
Kyzir White was born on May 24th, 1996, in Macungie, Pennsylvania. He is a linebacker in the National Football League.
White played high school football at Emmaus High School in Pennsylvania's highly competitive East Penn Conference.
Following two years at Lackawanna College, White committed to the West Virginia. In addition to West Virginia, White also received offers from Pittsburgh, Arizona State, Louisville and Illinois. In his career at West Virginia, he recorded 152 total tackles, four sacks, three interceptions, nine passes defended, and four forced fumbles.
During college, he played Safety for two seasons (2016-17) at West Virginia after transferring from Lackawanna College College…At West Virginia, started 25 games, racking up 152 tackles (113 solo), 14.5 tackles for loss, nine passes defensed, four forced fumbles, a recovery, four sacks and three INTs…Named second-team All-Big 12 as a senior when he had 94 tackles (66 solo), 7.5 tackles for loss, seven passes defensed, two forced fumbles, a sack and three INTs…At Lackawanna College, recorded 71 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 10 passes defensed, four INTs and two fumble recoveries…Helped lead the Falcons to an 8-2 record as a sophomore in 2015, culminating in first-team All-Northeast Football Conference and PrepStar Junior College All-American honors.
The Los Angeles Chargers selected White in the fourth round (119th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. White was the 11th safety drafted in 2018. On May 13, 2018, the Los Angeles Chargers signed White to a four-year, $3.11 million contract that includes a signing bonus of $654,441.
During rookie minicamp, the Los Angeles Chargers’ coaching staff announced their decision to move White to linebacker. White adjusted to the new position quickly and immediately impressed coaching staff. During training camp, he began competing to be the starting weakside linebacker against Jatavis Brown. Head coach Anthony Lynn named White the backup weakside linebacker, behind Jatavis Brown, to start the regular season. An hour before kickoff for their season-opener, it was reported that head coach Anthony Lynn has elected to instead start White, alongside Kyle Emanuel and middle linebacker Denzel Perryman.
He made his professional regular-season debut and first career start in the Los Angeles Chargers’ season-opener against the Kansas City Chiefs and recorded six combined tackles in their 38–28 loss. On September 16, 2018, White recorded four solo tackles, broke up two passes, and made his first career interception during a 31–20 win at the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. He made his first career interception off a pass attempt by Bills’ rookie quarterback Josh Allen, that was originally intended for tight end Jason Croom, and returned it for a nine-yard gain in the fourth quarter.
In March of 2022, he signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.
White signed a two year deal with the Arizona Cardinals on March 13, 2022.
