BIOGRAPHY
Kevin Rader was born on April 26th, 1995, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a tight end in the NFL.
During high school, Rader played tight end and defensive end at Pine-Richland, he was an all-conference selection as a defensive end.
Rader played for the Youngstown State University football team from 2014 to 2017. In 2014 Rader played in five games as a reserve on the defensive line, he had a solo tackle in the win over Saint Francis and earned his first letter. In 2015 Rader played in all 11 games and made two starts, started in three tight-end sets against Indiana State and Illinois State, he caught two passes for 44 yards and had a season-long 23-yard grab against Missouri State. In 2016 Rader played in all 16 games and started 13 contests, he caught 17 passes for 285 yards and two scores, averaged 16.8 yards per catch, none of his grabs were bigger than a one-handed catch in the back of the end zone with a second remaining to help the Penguins defeat Eastern Washington in the FCS semifinals. In 2017 Rader started all 11 games at tight end for the season, he caught a career-high 22 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns. Rader averaged 11.1 yards per reception, in MVFC games, had 14 receptions for 156 yards and a touchdown, and he had receptions in 10 of 11 games.
On May 3, 2018, the Green Bay Packers signed Rader.
Kevin Rader has played for multiple teams throughout his NFL journey and is currently playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL. On September 1, 2019, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed Rader to a one-year contract.
On September 1, 2022, Rader was signed to the Tennessee Titans practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster on September 22.
