BIOGRAPHY
Kaleb McGary was born on February 22, 1995, in Battle Ground, Washington. He is an offensive tackle in the National Football League.
In his early years, McGary attended Fife High School where as a senior, was named the South Puget Sound League's 2A Defensive Lineman of the Year, was named first-team All-SPSL at tight end and defensive line and also named to Tacoma News-Tribune all-area team as the tight end in 2013. During his senior season, McGary credited 76 tackles, while as a junior, he recorded 51 tackles, earning first-team All-SPSL at both tight end and defensive line.
After he finished high school, McGary committed to the University of Washington to play college football. After redshirting in 2014, he entered his freshman season in 2015, playing in 12 games, starting six, making his Husky debut in the Boise State game, seeing a good deal of action at right tackle. McGary earned his first start, at right tackle, in the win over Utah State. As a sophomore in 2016, McGary started every game of the 2016 season at right tackle and was named the team's lineman of the game after the win over Arizona. As a junior in 2017, he started all 13 games at right tackle and earned first-team All-Pac-12. He was also named the UW coaches lineman of the game for the win at Colorado and shared the Earle T. Glant Tough Husky Award at the UW postseason awards banquet. In his senior year in 2018, McGary was the winner of the 2018 Morris Trophy as the top offensive lineman in the Pac-12. He started all 14 games at right tackle and was named the UW coaches lineman player of the week for the ASU game. He also won the John P. Angel Lineman of the Year Award at the UW postseason awards banquet.
After he graduated from college, McGary entered the 2019 NFL Draft where he was drafted in the first round by the Atlanta Falcons, after being traded up from the second round with the Los Angeles Rams.
