Josh Hammond was born in Hallandale, Florida. He is a wide receiver in the NFL.

At Hallandale High School, Josh played in the 2016 Under Armour All-American Game in Orlando. After his senior season, he was named to the 2015 Class 5A First Team All-State and helped lead his team to a 10-3 record. He decided to play at the University of Florida.

Hammon appeared in 49 games (31 starts) with the Gators. He finished his career with 87 catches for 1,138 receiving yards (13.1 avg.) and six touchdowns. He went undrafted when the Jaguars picked him.
