BIOGRAPHY
Jordan Malik Thomas was born on August 2nd, 1996, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He is a tight end in the NFL.
Thomas attended Lamar County School District and played college football at Mississippi State University.
During high school, Thomas was the No. 1 junior college tight end recruit according to 247Sports.com and Scout.com, No. 9 overall JUCO recruit in the state, he was ranked the No. 70 overall JUCO player in America by Scout.com. In seven games with ECCC in 2015, caught 16 passes for 207 yards and three touchdowns as the squad reached the playoffs, he hauled in 16 passes for 138 yards and one touchdown during his freshman season in 2014.
Thomas played for the Mississippi State University football team from 2016 to 2017. In 2016 Thomas played in the final 12 games of the season, catching nine passes for 48 yards and a score. He had two catches for seven yards and a touchdown in his debut against South Carolina (9/10). In 2017 Thomas was MSU’s third-leading receiver who saw most of his action at receiver. He played in all 13 games with five starts, he caught 22 passes for 263 yards and three touchdowns, and he was ranked second on the squad in receiving yards. Thomas recorded at least one catch in 12 of 13 games.
Thomas was drafted by the Houston Texans in the sixth round, 211th overall, of the 2018 NFL Draft. In the Texans' season opener against the New England Patriots, he made his NFL debut. On May 10, 2018, the Houston Texans signed Thomas to a four-year contract. In 2021 he signed with the Indianapolis Colts.
On May 16, 2023, Thomas signed with the Carolina Panthers, being listed as a linebacker instead of tight end.
