J.K. Dobbins was born on December 17th, 1998 in Houston, Texas. He is a running back in the National Football League.

Dobbins began his career playing at La Grange High School in La Grange, Texas. Dobbins during his time at La Grange produced 5,149 yards and 74 touchdowns. He was able to do this all in his sophomore and junior season collecting 2,243 yards 37 touchdowns and 2,740 yards and 35 touchdowns respectively. He would miss his senior year due to injury but was still highly recruited and ranked in the top 5 in his position on all recruiting platforms.

Dobbins would play his collegiate career at Ohio State. As a freshman, Dobbins would set the rushing record for a freshman at 1,403 yards. As a junior, Dobbins would break the school single-season rushing record becoming the first running back from Ohio State to rush for over 2,000 yards (2,003 yards). Dobbins would forgo his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.

In the second round with the 55th pick overall, Dobbins was selected by the Baltimore Ravens.

In his NFL debut against the Cleveland Browns on September 13, 2020, Dobbins scored his first two career rushing touchdowns in a 38–6 victory in Week 1. In Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he had his first 100-yard rushing game with 15 carries for 113 rushing yards in the 28–24 loss. He was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list by the team on November 23, 2020, and activated on December 4. In Week 17 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Dobbins rushed for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns during the 38–3 win.
