Jaylon Moore was born January 9, 1998, in Detroit, Michigan. He was ranked as a two–star recruit by 247Sports.com coming out of high school. He committed to Western Michigan on June 7, 2015. He was a tight end in high school but converted to offensive lineman in college.

Moore was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers with the 155th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft on May 1, 2021.

In the 2022 season, he appeared in all 17 regular season games and the 49ers' three postseason games. He made two starts in weeks 5 and 6. In the 2023 season, he appeared in 16 regular season games and made two starts, weeks 7 and 8.
