Jaryd Jones-Smith was born on September 3, 1995 in Camden, New Jersey. He in an offensive tackle in the NFL.

Smith went to West Catholic High School in Philadelphia. While he was there, he was an All-State Class AA by the Pennsylvania Sports Writers. He was a two-way lineman who helped his team to a 7-4 records. In addition to football, Jaryd played basketball and track. He decided to play football at the University of Pittsburg.

While at the University of Pittsburg, Jaryd Jones-Smith redshirted his freshman season. His redshirt freshman season, Smith played in all 13 games while starting 3 at left tackle. He suffered a couple of injury's but made his way back to the starting lineup his senior season. He started in all 12 games at right tackle. He went undrafted in the 2018 NFL draft until the Houston Texans picked him up.

Smith has bounced around from the Texans, the San Antonio Commanders (AAF), 49ers, and now the Raiders.
