James Onwualu was born September 4, 1994 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. HE is a linebacker in the NFL.

James started his career playing at Cretin-Derham Hall in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He went to Notre Dame as a 4-star Wide Receiver. He was the number 1 recruit out of the state of Minnesota coming out of high school, according to 247sports. Once he got on campus at Notre Dame, he switched to playing linebacker his sophomore year. He was named a co-captain during his senior year in 2014. That season, he led the team with 11.5 tackles for loss.

James went undrafted out of college but was signed by the Los Angeles Chargers. He made the initial 53 man roster before being waived mid season. From then, he has bounced from the 49ers, Jaguars, Panthers, and Raiders during his NFL career.
