BIOGRAPHY
Jalen Guyton was born on June 7th, 1997, in Allen, Texas. He currently plays wide receiver in the NFL.
Prior to his college career, Guyton was rated a four-star prospect and was the 256th player in the nation and 30th wide receiver on ESPN Top 300 list, 261st on PrepStar Top 300 list, and 39th best player in Texas in Dallas Morning News Top 100. He had 82 receptions for 1,770 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 21.6-yard-per-catch average as senior in 2014 at Allen High School.
During his junior college career, Guyton has rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports, Scout, and Rivals out of Trinity Valley CC. He was also ranked the fourth-best junior college wide receiver in the 2017 class by 247Sports and sixth-best junior college prospect in Texas by the 247Sports Composite ranking system. Guyton caught 45 passes for 968 yards and 12 TDs in 12 games for Trinity Valley in 2016 as a redshirt freshman, averaging 21.5 yards per catch.
During the 2017 season, Guyton finished with 49 catches for 775 yards and a team-high nine touchdowns in 13 games, 11 of which were starts. He was named C-USA co-Newcomer of the Year and was a second-team all-conference selection. In 2018 during his senior season, Guyton was one of three Mean Green wide receivers that were on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List. He was selected to the C-USA Preseason All-Conference team and was a member of the team’s leadership council. Guyton finished with 54 catches for 805 yards and six touchdowns in 13 games.
Jalen Guyton signed a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2019.
