BIOGRAPHY

Jake McQuaide was born on December 7th, 1987 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a long snapper in the National Football League.

Jake McQuaide attended Elder High School as a tight end who had 10 catches for 125 yards as a senior at Elder High in Cincinnati. He had no unplayable snaps as a junior or senior and earned the Mr. ZIP award for basketball. McQuaide was originally a walk on at Ohio State and handled long-snap- ping duties for three years. He was Special Teams Player of the Week vs. Purdue and received his bachelor’s degree and won the John Galbreath award for academic excellence.

Jake McQuaide signed with the Rams on July 27th, 2011. He signed a four-year contract extension in July 2013 to extend his contract into 2017 and signed a contact extension in the 2018 offseason. McQuaide is a ninth-year pro has played in all 128 regular season games of his career. He tallied 1,159 clean snaps through first eight seasons and made 10 tackles on special teams. He received Pro Bowl honors in 2016 and 2017.

Jake McQuaide participated in many community events, including Make-A-Wish Celebrity Server dinner, Taste of the NFL, Love Your Melon Distribution event at Mercy, 6th Annual Playground Build at Marygrove and the All-Community Team Ticket program - 4th Down Fan Club.

McQuaide joined the Detroit Lions in 2023.
