BIOGRAPHY
Harrison Foster Philips was born on January 25, 1996, in Omaha, Nebraska. He is a defensive tackle in the NFL.
In his early years, Phillip attended Millard West High School in Omaha, Nebraska, where he played high school football. As a senior, he was the Nebraska Gatorade Football Player of the Year. He committed to Stanford University to play college football. In his high school career, he had over 175 tackles, 35 sacks, and 75 TFL.
Phillips played at Stanford from 2014 to 2017. As a freshman in 2014, he played six games recording nine tackles and 2.0 acks. He made his debut against Arizona State where he made a sack. As a sophomore in 2015, he was part of the Phil Steele All-Pac-12 preseason fourth team. In 2016, he played 12 games where he finished with 46 tackles where 19 were solo, 9.5 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks. Philip had an amazing game where he did five tackles where four were solo, one sack, and 1.5 tackles for loss at UCLA. He was an All-Pac-12 honorable mention, CoSIDA Academic All-District, Pac-12 All-Academic first-team, and Phil Steele All-Pac preseason second-team mention. As a senior in 2017, he played 14 games as team captain. He record a team-high 103 tackles and was the only FBS defensive lineman with 100 tackles. He was on the FWAA All-America second-team defensive line and was considered in the AP All-America third team. He was an All-Pac-12 first team and AFCA Good Works Team. He was a Lott IMPACT Trophy finalist, Bobby Bowden Award finalist and was on the Pac-12 All-Academic first team. Philip was also on the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Hampshire Honor Society. Having graduated with a double major in Sociology and Science, Technology and Society, and a minor in Education in December 2017, Phillips decided to forgo his last year of eligibility and enter the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Buffalo Bills selected Phillips in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, making him the tenth defensive tackle drafted in 2018. On May 30, 2018, the Buffalo Bills signed Phillips to a four-year contract.
On March 16, 2022, Phillips signed a three-year, $19.5 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings.
