Gabe Wright was born on April 3, 1992 in Columbus, Georgia. He is a defensive tackle in the NFL.

While at Carver High School, Wright was one of the top defensive tackles in his class. As the #7 player out of the state of Georgia, selected to play in the 2011 Under Armour All-American Game following his senior season. Wright had 88 tackles, including 11 sacks and 12 tackles for loss, while forcing five fumbles as a senior. He went on to play football at Auburn after the 2010 season.

Gabe played right when he got on campus. He played in 13 games while starting in 3 his freshman season. During his junior season, Gabe took over the starting role when the Auburn Tigers went on the win the SEC. Going into his senior year, Gabe was a preseason all-SEC first team. After having 86 tackles in his career, Gabe was selected by the Lions in the 4th round (113th pick).
