BIOGRAPHY
Ereck Flowers was born on April 25th, 1994 in Miami, Florida. He is an offensive guard for the Washington Redskins of the NFL.
He attended Krop high school where he was ranked four-star prospect at offensive tackle by both Rivals.com and Scout.com, ranked No. 200 regardless of position by Rivals.com and earned three-star ranking from ESPN. He helped lead Vikings to undefeated 2011 season (15-0) and State Class 5A championship victory over Crawfordville Wakulla and played for Coach Daryle Heidelburg.
He played college football at the University of Miami; in 2012 as a freshman, he played in all 12 games at right tackle and started the first four games. He was one of 10 freshmen to start for Canes in 2012 and anchored O-line that paved the way for the third-best passing offense (295.4) and fifth-best total offense (440.2) in ACC; also earned a letter.
As a sophomore in 2013, he started all 13 games at left tackle and was one of three offensive linemen to start all 13 games. He helped anchor an offensive line that paved the way for Hurricanes offense that averaged 425.8 yards of total offense and 33.8 points per game; he earned a letter.
In 2014 as a junior he started a season opener at left tackle against Louisville and made the second start of the season at left tackle against FAMU, paving the way for 198 rushing yards. He also started at left tackle against Arkansas State, helping lead offense to a 488-yard performance.
On December 29th, 2014, Flowers announced that he would forgo his senior season and enter the 2015 NFL Draft. On April 30th, 2015, Flowers was selected with the ninth overall pick by the New York Giants in the 2015 NFL Draft.
He was named the Giants starting left tackle for Week 1 and played in 15 games in his rookie season. He was a key component on a line that helped the Giants finish sixth in the NFL in scoring (26.3 points a game) and eighth in total yards (372.3 a game), also helping Manning throw a career-high 35 touchdown passes while setting a franchise record with 387 completions.
In 2016 he started all 16 regular-season games and the NFC Wild Card Game at left tackle and was a mainstay on an offensive line that allowed only 22 regular-season sacks, ranking behind only Oakland (19) and Pittsburgh (21).
In 2017 he started the first 15 games at left tackle. In 2018 he played in five games with two starts for the Giants. On October 12th, 2018, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Flowers to a one-year contract; e was named the starting left tackle in Week 11, and started there the rest of the season.
On March 18th, 2019, Flowers signed a one-year contract with the Washington Redskins.
