BIOGRAPHY
Donte Moncrief was born on August 6, 1993, in Raleigh, Mississippi. He studied at the University of Mississippi and is a wide receiver that has played in multiple teams throughout his NFL career such as the Indianapolis Colts, the Jacksonville Jaguars and currently the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. In his early years, Moncrief attended Raleigh High School where he registered 21 catches for 441 yards and 9 touchdowns as a senior while also passing for 365 yards with 2 touchdowns and rushing 12 times for 144 yards. He also returned two punts for touchdowns and collected 48 tackles, four for loss, and four interceptions on defense. In addition to football, Moncrief also competed in track and field for the Lions, where he was one of the state's top performers in the long jump. He was a two-time 3A state champion in the long jump event, with a personal-best mark of 7.76 meters. He was considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, he was rated as the 17th best wide receiver prospect in the nation. After he finished high school, Moncrief committed to the University of Mississippi from 2011 to 2013. During his collegiate career, he had 156 receptions for 2,371 yards and 20 touchdowns. Moncrief announced on January 3, 2014, that he would forgo his senior season and enter the 2014 NFL Draft.
After he graduated from college, Moncrief entered the 2014 NFL Draft where he was drafted in the third round by the Indianapolis Colts on May 9, 2014. On May 30, the Colts officially signed him to his rookie contract and on October 26, 2014, in a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Moncrief scored his first NFL touchdown on a pass from quarterback Andrew Luck. He finished his rookie season with 32 receptions for 444 yards and 3 touchdowns. In 2015, Moncrief played 16 games, starting 10 where he recorded 64 receptions for 733 yards and 6 touchdowns, while in 2016, he played in 9 games, starting 7, recording 30 receptions for 307 yards and 7 touchdowns. Moncrief finished the 2017 season with 26 receptions for 391 yards and 2 touchdowns in 12 games. On March 15, 2018, Moncrief signed a one-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguar, finishing the season with 48 receptions for 668 yards and three touchdowns. On March 14, 2019, Moncrief signed a two-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
