BIOGRAPHY
De'Vondre Campbell was born on July 1, 1993, in Fort Myers, Florida. He is a linebacker in the NFL.
During his junior season in 2012, Campbell helped led Hutchinson Community College to a 9-3 record and a win in the 2012 Salt City Bowl. He made 83 tackles (25 solos), averaging 6.9 tackles a game. He was a three-star recruit according to Scout.com, Rivals.com, ESPN, and 247sports.com and transferred to Minnesota after the 2012 season, signing with the Gophers in Feb. 2013.
During his sophomore season in 2013, Campbell played in 13 games and started against San Jose State, Iowa, and Indiana. He notched 41 tackles, including 3.0 tackles-for-loss and broke up one pass and forced one fumble. In 2014 as a junior, Campbell started all 13 games. He was third on the team with 75 tackles and also had 6.5 tackles-for-loss (2.5 sacks). He recovered three fumbles, returned an interception for a touchdown and broke up one pass and was named in the Academic All-Big Ten.
During his junior season in 2015, Campbell Competed in 13 games and started 11. He finished third on the team with 92 tackles, including 6.5 tackles-for-loss (team-high 4.0 sacks). He recorded three straight games with double-digit tackles, broke up three passes to go along with an interception and forced a fumble and he had All-Big Ten Honorable Mention by the conference coaches and media.
The Atlanta Falcons selected Campbell in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. On May 5, 2016, the Atlanta Falcons signed Campbell to a four-year contract. He made his professional regular-season debut and the first career start in the Atlanta Falcons' season-opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and recorded four solo tackles in their 31–24 game. On September 17, 2017, Campbell recorded eight combined tackles, deflected a pass, and made his first career sack on Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers during a 34–23 victory against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2.
In 2021, he signed with the Green Bay Packers.
Campbell returned as the starting strongside linebacker to begin 2018, He played in 16 games with 13 starts, finishing with a team-leading 94 combined tackles, and 1.5 sacks. On April 3, 2020, Campbell signed a one–year contract with the Arizona Cardinals. In Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins, Campbell recorded his first sack as a Cardinal on Tua Tagovailoa during the 34–31 loss.
On March 17, 2022, Campbell re-signed with the Packers on a five-year deal, worth $50 million.
