BIOGRAPHY

Darren Fells was born on April 22, 1986, in Fullerton, California. He is a tight end for the Houston Texans of the NFL.

Fells began his playing career as a prep athlete at Fullerton Union High School in Fullerton, California. Fells played basketball where he was a All-CIF Southern Section II-A second team and All-Freeway League second team as a junior season.

Fells would committ to University California of Irvine. During his time at Irvine, Fells would be a 2 time honorable mention on the All-Big West and Second-team All-Big West 2008. 

Between 2008-2012, Fells continued his basketball career playing professionally in Argentina, Mexico, Belgium, Finland, and France. 

On March 6th, 2013, Fells made the transition from basketball to football signing with the Seattle Seahawks. He would also have stints with the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, and Cleveland Browns. 

On March 18, 2019, Fells signed a one-year contract with the Houston Texans.
