BIOGRAPHY
Christian Blake was born on June 8, 1996, in Plantation, Florida. He is a wide receiver in the NFL.
At High School, Blake hauled in 22 receptions for 326 yards and seven touchdowns in 2013, and was named one of the Chiefs' team captains prior to the 2013 season. He was given CGHS' Special Teams Player of the Year Award as a junior, and was also a member of school's track & field team.
During the first year of college in 2014, Christian played in 12 games as a true freshman, making collegiate debut in the season opener versus Presbyterian (8-28), he caught two passes for 14 yards at Arkansas (9-20) and had a 15-yard reception against Marshall in the Boca Raton Bowl (12-23).
The following year in 2015, Blake played in 10 games at wide receiver. He caught five passes for 44 yards, both improvements on the previous season, recorded receptions in four consecutive games beginning with a catch at Boston College (9/26), and made a career-long 24-yard catch in the win at Miami (10/17).
On 2016, he played in all 12 games with 10 starts in 2016. Blake recorded a reception in 11 of 12 games to rank third on the team in receptions with 34 and second in receiving yards with 457. His 13.4 yards per catch average led NIU. He scored his first career rushing touchdown at Western Michigan (10-8), recorded a career-high with 82 receiving yards in the season-opener at Wyoming (9-3), caught three passes for 38 yards with a touchdown against Central Michigan (10-15) and made two catches for 29 yards and a touchdown versus Toledo in the Chi-Town Showdown (11-9).
At his last college season in 2017, he finished third on team in catches and second in receiving touchdowns, his 41 catches and four TDs in 2017 were career bests as were his 16 rushes for 58 yards and he caught at least one pass in each of the last 12 games of the season, rushing 16 times for 58 yards and was two-of-four passing for 23 yards. Blake caught his fourth TD pass on a 19-yard reception vs. Ball State (11-9), completed his second pass of the season at Toledo (11-2), hitting QB Marcus Childers for 10 yards, and caught two passes for 16 yards, made five catches for 77 yards at Nebraska (9-16), returned nine kickoffs for 174 yards and a 19.3 average, and caught career-high 12 passes for 153 yards with TDs of 34 and 10 yards at San Diego State (9-30), earning MAC West Offensive Player honor for that game, which included a season-long 50-yard catch. His 12 catches vs. SDSU tied for eighth on the NIU single game chart, caught an 18-yard TD pass versus Eastern Illinois (9-9), and completed a 13-yard pass to QB Ryan Graham versus Boston College (9-1).
Overall in his college career, Blake appeared in 47 career games, caught 83 passes for 972 yards and had six touchdowns. He threw five career passes, completing three for 32 yards and was responsible for 1,235 all-purpose yards, including rushing, receiving and kickoff returns.
Blake signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2018, spending time on the practice squad.
On October 23rd, Blake was promoted to the Falcons active roster.
