BIOGRAPHY
Christopher Boswell was born on March 16th, 1991, in Fort Worth, Texas. He is a kicker in the NFL.
During high school, Boswell converted on 39 of 43 field goals in his career and was perfect on 172 career PAT attempts, he was named to the Associated Press All-State first team and to the Texas Sportswriters Association Class 5A All-State second team as a senior.
Boswell played for the Rice University football team from 2010 to 2013. In 2010 Boswell set a Rice freshman kick-scoring record, finishing with 74 points. He converted 41 of 44 PATs this season, third-best by an Owl in a season. In 2011 season Boswell converted 17 of 21 field goals. In addition to his field goal success, he led the team with 82 points this season (9th best in school history) and has 156 points in his career. In 2012 Boswell set school season records for field goals (23) and kick scoring (114) in addition to career records for field goals (51) and field goal attempts (67) and kick scoring (270). In 2013 Boswell participated in the 2014 Senior Bowl. He has kicked at least 11 field goals each season and tied for third on the C-USA career FG chart with 65. Holding opponents to starting at their 24 after his kickoffs, thanks to 54 touchbacks on 70 kickoffs.
The Houston Texans signed Boswell on May 10, 2014, solely as a kicker. He was re-signed to the practice squad on September 23, 2014.
On January 7, 2015, Boswell signed a reserve/future contract with the New York Giants.
Christopher Boswell has played for multiple teams throughout his NFL journey and is currently playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL. On August 23, 2018, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed Boswell to a five-year contract.
