BIOGRAPHY

Charles Harris was born on March 6, 1995, in Kansas City, Missouri. He is an outside linebacker in the NFL. 

During high school, Harris as a junior, he had 40 tackles and six sacks and as a senior had 60 tackles and 12 sacks. He also had 15 receptions for 285 and five touchdowns.

During his freshman season in 2014, Harris played in all 14 games, starting one for the Tigers. He tallied 19 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, a pair of pass break-ups and four quarterback hurries while backing up All-SEC defensive ends Shane Ray and Markus Golden and credited with a QB pressure in the SEC title game against Alabama.

In 2015 during his sophomore season, Harris earned Second Team All-SEC honors after leading the SEC in tackles for loss (18.5) and finishing with seven sacks in his first season as a starter. He started all 12 games at defensive end for one of the nation’s most potent defenses and tallied 56 total tackles (32 solos) which ranked tops on the team among defensive linemen.

During his junior season in 2016, Harris finished second on the team with 61 tackles (35 solos) while leading the team in tackles for loss (12.0), sacks (9.0) and QB hurries (10) and also had a pair of forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and two pass break-ups.

The Miami Dolphins selected Harris in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

In March of 2022, he signed a two-year deal with the Detroit Lions.
