BIOGRAPHY
Cameron Brate was born on July 3, 1991, in Naperville, Illinois. He is a Tight end in the NFL. Brate attended Naperville Central High School and played college football at Harvard.
During high school, Brate was named senior captain in football. In 2011 during his sophomore season, Brate had 25 catches for 386 yards, ranking second on the Crimson in yards per catch at 15.4. He was named the College Football Performance Awards National Tight End of the Week.
In 2012 during his junior season, Brate had five catches for 57 yards and a TD against Bucknell. He was named the second team All-America by Beyond Sports Network (BSN), second-team All-Ivy League by CollegeSportsMadness.com and named to first team Capital One Academic All-America.
During his senior season in 2013, Brate ranks fourth in Harvard history with 18 career TD grabs, is 12th with 91 receptions and sits ninth with 1,381 receiving yards. He finished second on the team with 25 receptions for 403 yards and five touchdowns. He was named to College Football Performance Awards Honor Roll Oct. 22
On May 21, 2014, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Brate to a three-year contract. He finished his rookie season in 2014 with one reception for 17-yards in five games and one start.
In 2016 he finished the 2016 NFL season with 57 receptions for 660 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in 15 games and ten starts. Among NFL tight ends, Brate converted the highest percentage of red zone targets into scores in 2016. In 2017, Brate finished the season with 48 receptions for 591 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 16 games and five starts.
Cameron Brate is currently playing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL.
